The second and final week of the FFCC Percussion Focus Shows followed up on the stellar performances that happened during week one. Gaither High School was the site as 20 of the FFCC’s Percussion and Winds Ensembles came together for the west coast version of the Focus Events. The teams were ready and did not disappoint the spectators who attended.

In week two of WGI World Championships in Dayton, the FFCC’s drum lines and winds groups proved that they are truly one of the strongest in the country! All FFCC representatives moved on to Semifinals and 6 drum lines and 2 winds groups made Finals! Congratulations to all of the competitors that made this monumental track across the country! Such a gigantic undertaking is an honor and the FFCC is proud of all of your accomplishments.
One of the new Independent groups in FFCC this season, under the direction of Jeremy Lee, is Unity Percussion from Gainesville, FL. This new group is made up of talented members from all over North FL including Jacksonville, Tallahassee, St. Augustine, Bell and Gainesville. Max Castaneda, one of our captains from Tallahassee stated, "If it weren't for the Unity there would be little chancein doing the activity that I love. My best moments happen every Friday when I drive into town from Tallahassee. It's crazy that the program is as strong as it is in its inaugural season, but what is crazier is how welcoming everyone is. Different backgrounds, different cities and we are all able to come together and do what we love. The name Unity quite literally defines us."
Chocolate FundraiserWe are starting another fundraiser for Valentines Day. We must have these turned in by January 24th so we can try to have the chocolates in by or near Valentines Day. The link is provided above. Please share this link with family and friends for them to post at their offices, lunch rooms and other places. We need to get as much money in as possible so we can finish paying for our uniforms and floor.

On our way up to Ohio for WGI World Championships we will be stopping off at the halfway point in Chattanooga Tennessee. Here we will be staying at Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Chattanooga/Near Hamilton P on April 12th 2016. All beds are queen size so we all can get a good nights rest before heading the rest of the way to Ohio. I have stayed at the hotel with another group on the way back from WGI World Championships and it was a perfect place to rest!
