With the current challenges surrounding COVID-19, we have revised our usual audition process into one that looks a little different but will still offer the same highly educational experience. We will be sending out email reminders, but please also join “Unity Percussion” on Facebook for more details as the process unfolds.

STEP ONE
Register and attend the initial virtual Zoom rehearsals on Sunday, October 4th.
At this meeting, we will be discussing the packet, video audition expectations, season updates, and more.
Camp Dates: October 11th and 18th
STEP TWO
Submit a Video Audition (discussed at the virtual meeting on October 4th) due Friday, October 9th by 11:59 pm EST. If further assessment is requested, a second video should be submitted by Friday, October 16th by 11:59 pm EST.
STEP THREE
Attend virtual Zoom rehearsals on Sunday, October 11th, and 18th.
All applicants will attend virtual Zoom rehearsals for Unity Percussion. These will include full battery/front rehearsals, sectionals via break-out rooms, and individual assessments.
Each applicant must have access to a laptop, desktop, tablet, or cell phone, reliable internet access, and provide their own metronome. Applicants should be prepared to play along with tracks, play along with a metronome, and play individually in each setting.
STEP FOUR
Attend a small, invite-only, in-person audition on a Sunday in early November (location and date TBA).
All appropriate safety measures and protocols will be followed, including, but not limited to:
- Pre-Screening Health Form
- Temperature check upon arrival
- Masks required at all times
- Social Distancing at all times
- Remaining outside as much as the weather allows
- Restroom occupancy of 1 at a time
- No sharing of sticks/mallets
- Continual equipment disinfecting

Cost
2021 technique packets are free! The cost for a video audition is $40 for the music ensemble and $30 for the visual ensemble. Those who are invited to the in-person callback camp will also be required to pay an additional $35 to attend.
